FEMINIST Key Thinkers: Independent Research Project

You will be assigned a key conservative thinker. You will need to research this individual, and then peer teach the class. You will lead a 30 minute seminar on your key thinker.

*A seminar is a class at university in which a topic is discussed by a teacher and a small group of students

In preparation for your seminar you should create;

• a powerpoint
• a detailed hand-out/mind map
• an activity

For your assigned thinker you need to include the following:

• Background (school, university, profession)
• Famous published works
• Key Ideas (linked to core principles)
  • Sex and gender
  • Patriarchy
  • Personal is political
  • Equality feminism and Difference feminism
  • Intersectionality
• How does your key thinker view the following?
  • human nature
  • the role of the state
  • the role of society
  • the economy
• How have they contributed to the evolution of feminism?
