Every year I have some fun making predictions for the exam paper. Here are my predictions for ethics questions for OCR in 2015. Please don’t over-rely on them – they are useful for practise purposes but you should accompany them with the usual strategic preparation. - “If hard determinism is true there can be no moral responsibility”.
- Critically assess the view that human beings have a moral duty to protect the environment.
- “Moral language expresses feelings. It cannot describe facts”. Discuss
- Assess the view that sexual ethics is up to the individual.
- Critically assess agent-centred (another word for Virtue Ethics) as opposed to law-centred theories of ethics (another word for deontological ethics, best take Kant here) as a guide to practical decision-making.
