Activity: Restored and Unrestored painting for Imago Dei

Calvin suggests that no part of the divine beauty is unnaffected by the stain and corruption of sin. Compare these two images of the adoration of the Shepherds. The painting was damaged in the 1700s. How many aspects are affected by the damage? What makes a painting ‘beautiful’ or even ‘perfect’? (Think of form, colour, design, total impression, clarity, vividness, message, story).
