Freewill & Determinism

Some Case Studies.

Case Studies 1-3 all, in various ways, can be used to explore the common sense assumption that we are at root responsible for our actions. If so, we must be responsible for the decisions, for the thinking (or the lack of it) that lie behind our actions. In short, we must be free to be responsible; we are responsible, so we are free. Or are we slaves to passions and instincts, or determined by events and situations that are outside of us…?

The remaining case studies are in varying ways very famous examples or cases that are very well-known and well-worth you thinking through very fully indeed.
